Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This is a working draft written to reflect what Venue Ledger actually does today. It has not been reviewed by an attorney. Before relying on this as your binding privacy policy, have it reviewed for your jurisdiction and specific obligations (state privacy laws, GDPR if you have EU users, etc.).

What we collect

When you use Venue Ledger, we collect:

  • Account information — your name and email address, provided via Google Sign-In.
  • Event and budget data — everything you enter into the calculator: cost line items, revenue figures, event details, team member invitations, and saved scenarios.
  • Usage data — basic technical logs (timestamps, error reports) used to keep the service running reliably.

How your data is isolated

Every company's data is walled off at the database level — not just hidden in the interface. A user at one company cannot see, query, or export another company's events, budgets, or team information under any circumstance. This isolation is enforced by database-level security rules, not application logic alone.

How we use your data

We use your data to operate the service: storing your budgets, calculating your numbers, letting you invite teammates, and generating your CSV/PDF exports. We do not sell your data. We do not use your event or budget data to train any AI model.

Third-party services

Venue Ledger is built on:

  • Google Sign-In — for authentication. We receive your name, email, and profile photo; we never see your Google password.
  • Supabase — our database and backend infrastructure provider, which stores your account and budget data securely.

As billing comes online, a payment processor (such as Stripe) will be added to this list, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at privacy@venueledger.pro and we'll process the request.

Cookies

We use only the minimum cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify account owners directly.
